Professional Dog Trainer Area Manager
Experience preferred but not necessary. Applicants must: Live within the area applying for Have excellent communication skills with a professional appearance Be computer literate and have a computer of their own Have reliable transportation Exhibit a confident attitude and emotional stability Be a self starter and show considerable initiative Have strong organizational skills Be physically fit to do the job Have a cell phone Establish and maintain public relations Have strong problem solving skills Not be afraid to work with aggressive dogs An ability to sell This a career building opportunity for the right applicant. The applicant chosen will be provided paid training at which point you will be expected to contact, meet with, sell, and provide a quality dog training service to our clientele involving the training of obedience along with specific behavioral problem solving. Our services include Basic and Advanced Obedience with Behavioral Problem Solving, Family Companion and Protection Training, Executive Training, Agility Training, Therapy Dog and Service and Assist Training, as well as "Monthly Tune Ups" in a group environment. The successful applicant will train the client how to train the dog, maintain a weekly/monthly schedule, attend a weekly staff meeting, maintain a public relations route, field calls from clients, make initial contacts and follow ups and other requirements as needed. Trainers will be expected to run between 20 and 30 calls weekly and be available mornings, afternoons and evenings with some weekend work. As you can see, this job isn't for everyone.
